Sam Hiester (they/them) is a South Jersey-based Lighting Designer and Live Entertainment Technician with eight years of experience in the industry. They hold a B.A. in Theatre from Rowan University with a concentration in Design/Tech and a focus in lighting. Their journey began in high school, developing a strong foundation in theatrical lighting, which they continued to refine through college and hands-on work in local theaters, venues, and casinos. Passionate about lighting design, they are actively pursuing opportunities in the concert lighting industry.

Sam is experienced with industry-standard lighting consoles such as ETC and Avolites, and is proficient in generating lighting paperwork using Vectorworks and Lightwright. Known for their dedication, adaptability, and collaborative approach, they bring technical precision and creative insight to every production they support.
